Vertical CD player (part 2 KYOCERA)





Welcome to part 2 of our series presenting first generation vertical loading CD player models.

In this is part two of our series dedicated to first generation vertical CD players from 1982-1983 we will focus on the first generation KYOCERA based CD player family. The KYOCERA model was in fact first advertised in the USA as Cybernet (a company that KYOCERA recently bought) in 1982. That was before the official launch of the Compact Disc.

This is a strange and unexpected model because at this time phase linear was bought by PIONEER and they had their own version of a first generation vertical CD player.
